The Hallway

I was up for hours sitting in the hallway.
My sister and our step sister locked the door to our room, I was clearly not wanted inside.
I guess I could hang out with my step brother,
But the door to his room was shut it appeared to almost glare menacingly,
Shout "do not enter."
My dad and his new wife sat downstairs,
Watching their show, not wanting to be disturbed, even the cat avoided me.
And I'm not upset over the fact that I'm alone, I am despondent because no one wants me.
Eventually I was even kicked out the hallway because my dad "felt bad,"
Only to be thrown into a larger room that felt more lonely than that hallway,
A different place but the same concept that no matter where I go I will always be stuck
In the hallway.

Benumbed

It always started with a hissing noise. Starting from a distance, and rapidly approaching. I squeezed my eyes shut. I hated it; all of it. The hissing wasn't to bad, it just freaked me out. It was spontaneous, and would occur anytime, anywhere.
Next was the deep breathing and the cold sweats. I didn't know why this would happen to me, but it suddenly felt like I couldn't breath, and I would start to get scared, and therefore sweat. I'm not claustrophobic or anything, but it felt like everything was getting closer and closer to me. I was trapped, and there's no way out.
After the hissing and the sweats, came the darkness. Everything went completely black. I was still conscious but I couldn't see. I would have to go to the nearest wall and feel my way into a closet, or a bathroom, or an empty room, just somewhere I could be alone. It has yet to happen in a public place. It was like being blind, yet worse. It was a curse.
Maybe twenty minutes later, I would pass out, I wouldn't remember anything. Yet I always had the same dream. He was there, the one with the brown hair, and the brown eyes. He was always there. Smiling at me with gleaming teeth. He'd whisper things into my ears. I would be paralyzed though, and there's nothing I can ever do about it. I couldn't move, I could only look straight. Straight into his eyes, that burned into me like icy winds on a frigid winter's day.
This time was different though. When I wake up, I usually felt like my head was clear. I felt even more open than before. Now all I felt was dizziness. I was nauseated. I opened the door to where I was hiding, and I saw him. The boy with the brown hair and the brown eyes, and the teeth that gleamed when he smiled at me. I blacked out.

Accroach

All you could hear was deep, heavy panting, and the sound of feet slapping the floor. "Run! Come on Jim, run!" Skyler screamed at the top of his lungs, "We have to keep moving!" The pain in his shoulder was becoming over whelming, but Skyler ran on with Jim close behind.
"I don't know if I can go much further," heaved Jim.
"We gotta keep going! They're gonna find us if we don't keep running." It took Sky all his might to breathe it out.
     "I'm trying, I'm trying."
They rounded a corner and came upon a dead end. "Crap! Turn around! Turn around!" Sky shouted.
"Sky, I can't do this anymore. Just keep going."
"Don't pull this bull crap with me." Sky yanked Jim forward and started running.
"Sky, please, stop," whispered Jim. "I can't go any farther."
"You are my little brother, and I am not leaving you behind. You are going to come with me, even if I have to carry you." Sky scooped up Jim over his shoulder and started sprinting.
"AHHHHHH!" Sky screamed. The pain in his shoulder was too much for him now. He tripped, and they both went sprawling across the floor.
A cackling laughter came up behind them, "You can't escape me."
     Everything went black.

Hanker

People say love is simple and love is kind. I can tell you that is not the story here. I, Sasha Walters, am here to tell you how love is not as congenial and unambiguous as some have come to know. Love is the most complex idea this world has come to face. It isn't something that comes easy to people; however, with other people it's like turning a light switch on and off. They will love people one day, and contemptuously despise them the very next day.
What a strange world we live in. I can walk down the street any given day, and there are couples who show complete adulation towards each other, yet when I walk down, even a quarter of a mile, there is another couple throwing things at one another, showing complete loathsome towards each other.
This isn't at all what I had imagined when I was younger. Everything was so beautiful then; everything seemed so bright and happy. Now the world just seems like a gigantic pile of waste.
I am pusillanimous when it comes to relationships; I will never relinquish to love and it's harsh grip. Or at least that was postulated until I had met Luis. It was like eating cheese cake for the first time, or perhaps lemon squares.
He was perfect, my version of perfect. He was clumsy, yet managed to keep his self together and maintained. His shaggy brown hair and sumptuous brown eyes drove me wild. His elegant, perfect skin gleamed, it almost seemed like. His voice made me want to listen to him talk forever. Everything about him drew me in. It was like looking at a superlative rose of the deepest, truest red; and I had to have it.
I spent my lunches at school gazing at him across the cafeteria, searching for the slightest sign that he might show the slightest interest or attraction towards me, and yet nothing prevailed. So one day I finally mustered the courage to approach him. He looked at me with his angelic brown eyes, just staring at me. "Yes?" His voice bewitching me into a caressing haze.
     "Shasha?" He asked.
"Oh, um.. Hello," I replied. I could not believe what I had just done.
"Did you need something?" he catechized.
"Yes, I was just wondering, if perhaps you'd maybe like to go and see, I mean, only if you wanted to-"
"I would absolutely love to." Luis cultivated.
And right there and then I knew that my view on love had changed. Of course it's hard, and it's a struggle that we must bear, in order to actualize happiness, delectation, and bliss. There will always be herculean where ever we may go, and with whom ever we meet. It is important to keep going, and to never capitulate to the hardships and broken hearts we will receive. For then and then only, will we be blithe.

Pulchritudinous

Taylor wasn't your average girl, she was very different from the rest of the crowd. Everyone was into sports and hanging out after school. Taylor preferred to stay at home and study, or go to the local coffee house and write songs. Taylor was beautiful; she was everything beautiful. Toned muscles, beach wavy hair, chartreuse eyes full of life and love. She had the most loving personality, and even though people would try to put her down, she just smiled, complimented them, and walked away. She seemed like the perfect human being to ever exist. But she had a secret, a darkest of them all.
Billy wasn't what you'd expect of a handsome young man. He had flawless check bones, and ultramarine eyes, however, his black hair was uneven and unruly, and his dress wear was always the same. Dark t-shirt, zip up sweatshirt, dark jeans and his black Converse shoes. He dressed dark, and was very different from other people. He wasn't anything like Taylor, who could fit in anywhere if she wanted to, Billy was the kind of different where he wouldn't fit in with a lot of crowds.
Little did they both know, that the secret Taylor held would bring them together in ways they would have never even dreamt of, and this secret of theirs were connected to each other. Taylor didn't know that she was a sorceress, which would definitely explain her laudable looks. Sorceresses were evil, but not Taylor. They lured men in with their enchanting looks, and wonderful songs, tricking them to come to their aerie, and killing them. You see, most pythoness' do this for fun, a game, if you will.
Billy was a dragon. Now wait just a second. He's human, isn't he? There is no way that he could possibly be a dragon. Now hold on a second, let me explain. Dragons could take the shape of humans. When he was little, his parents, transformed them into humans to go into town. Dragons are quite shy, which is why if you look out your window, you wouldn't happen to see any flying around in the sky. But Billy's dad was foolish, lured into a cave by an evil hag, while with Billy: the sorceress killed his father and cursed Billy to be human until death.
If you haven't made the connection yet, I'll explain. Because Taylor is the only actual good enchantress in this whole world, she is his only chance. But one problem, the Renegades are looking for her, too.

Inducement

He couldn't help looking at her. She wasn't a model; nor was she the prettiest girl in school, and yet to him, she was gorgeous. She had long black hair. It was wavy, and reminded him of the ocean at night. She had bright blue eyes; the kind that you could loose yourself in. Amy is special to him, and he can't help but steal a glance at her every other minute. They made eye contact, and his cheeks turned the color of plums, and he looked away.
She was the new girl to school, and he had introduced her to all her teachers and his friends. Even though they knew each other since the beginning of the quarter, she still gave him shivers with those bright eyes of hers, and her perfect lips, and her soft skin-
"Nick!"she cried out. "Nick." she said softer.
"Yeah?"
"So what are you up to?"
"Umm.. About to go to class." He pondered why she was talking to him, they had barely spoken before.
"Oh, right. Of course. I was just wondering if maybe.. Are you free Friday night?"
He looked at her with bewilderment. Him? She was asking him? Not in a million years would he have thought that she would have asked him out. But he also felt ashamed he hadn't asked her first. It's a man's job, he thought, and the guy is supposed to ask the girl, not the other way around.
"Yeah, I'm free." Nick replied. Little did he know what was actually going to happen.
Amy wasn't at all what people thought, she was different. She didn't fit in, always bullied, but Nick liked her all the same. But little did he know, she wasn't any ordinary girl. She had killed people. Everywhere she moved she had killed one person, and then moved again. She set her new target; it was Nick. And she had already lured him in.

Death Angels

She brushed his smooth, dark hair from his eyes. "Danny, please don't go."
"I am sorry Anna, but it's too late, we're too late." Dan whispered to her, as tears streaked down her face. "It's too late."
"No, I can still help, I can." She held his hand tightly. Blood is leaving his body to fast, she thought, How am I supposed to save him? She looked to here right, where the mangled body of her best friend, Sandra, lay.
Sandra was her best friend since grade school, she had been there for her for everything, good or bad; and yet she wasted Sandra's life, to save the boy she loved, Danny. Now Dany was dying, right before her eyes, Sandra was dead, and it was all her fault. She was going to be alone for ever, because of a simple mistake she could have changed.
She was on the run from an evil man, named Bathel. He wanted her because she had skills, assets, that no one her age could possibly have learned on her own. He thinks that she was specially trained by some league of operatives. But it's not true. Her DNA was changed for a specific purpose. The engineer working on her 'project' was trying to attempt to better adapt her for combat. She was meant to be used as a sort of body guard, or a protector, but when the lab tech guy was killed, it went all down hill from there.
Bathel had been hunting her down for five years, since she was ten years of age, and he had finally gotten to her. He killed her best friend, and mortally injured the love of her life. What she was going to do now, was questionable. She didn't know how to handle this. Her brain was going haywire, trying to comprehend what had just happened. Thankfully Bathel was dead, killed by Danny in a gruesome fight to the death, but with a price to pay; Danny's own life.
"Danny, you can't go. You can't leave me here." Anna whispered to Danny.
"Anna, I just wanted to let you know-"
"Shh.. Don't say it Dan. You're not going to die, okay? You're not going to die," she choked. It was hard for her to say anything with a huge lump in her throat.
Anna looked around her. Danny was loosing a lot of blood, and he was growing very pale. Tears went from streaming, to pouring down her face, and an inauspicious feeling tugging at her gut. "Danny, I love you."
With a final, deep breath, he replied, "I love you, too, my darling." His eyes glassed over, and his body went limp. That was the end of Danny, and the end of her life as well. For she took a knife lying to her right. "If I can't live with you, then I don't feel how I can continue." She plunged the scimitar deep into her sternum, and fell onto Dan's chest. With her last breath, she said, "Thank you, my love." And so she went with Sandra and Danny to the Golden Gates, where they met their savior.
